어린 시절, 우리는 영웅이 주인공인 영화나 드라마를 보면서, 내면 깊숙이 어딘가에 또 다른 나의 숨겨진 굉장한 모습이나 말할 수 없는 특수능력이 잠재되어 있을 것이라고 믿었던 적이 있었다. 낮에는 평범하지만 밤이 되면 히어로가 되어 누군가를 위기에서 구해주는, 마치 인류가 지닌 비장의 카드같은 존재처럼 말이다.
그러나 자라나면서 나라는 존재는 영화나 드라마 속 주인공이 아닌, 특별하지도 특출나지도 않은 그저 수억명의 인간 중 하나일뿐이라는 것을 깨달아버린 한 인간의 이야기이다.
The Hero는 Dm 코드 하나로만 구성된 노래로, 편곡의 완숙미와 강렬한 사운드를 느낄 수 있다.
